Job Summary
Operate the jaw crusher circuit to provide a consistent stream of high-quality crushed feed stone to the washer, facilitating continuous operations from the haul truck fleet. Adjust process parameters per work instructions and perform operator maintenance and lubrication as required. Conduct daily safety inspections of the work area, including climbing stairs and ladders, while reporting equipment conditions, maintenance needs, and ore variations to the supervisor. Record and document process operating data, maintaining a clean and safe environment using appropriate protective equipment.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read, write and perform basic math at the level commonly associated with the completion of high school or equivalent
- Good verbal communication skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision (self-directed)
- Ability to function as a productive team member
- Required climbing stairs, ladders, and standing to observe the entire operation
- Requires the skilled use of safety and protective equipment to include lockouts, lanyards, safety glasses, and other items such as hard hats, ear protection and foot and fall protection where required
Desired Qualifications
- Prefer one to two years' experience in process or mining positions in the industrial minerals industry
