Job Summary
Start-up, operation, routine monitoring, and shut-down of all crushing plant equipment; adjust and check crusher settings as prescribed; perform visual inspections of crushing equipment and fine ore bin levels; carry out routine maintenance of conveyors and components. Adjust plant feed rates to balance crushers and avoid overload; verify lubrication; remove tramp iron and wood from the jaw crusher feed; clean the metal recovery system; unblock equipment when necessary; verify conveyor chute operation and dust removal systems. Operate mobile equipment to supply the mill with reagents and grinding media; maintain plant housekeeping and clean jaw crusher grease during day-shift. Work in a 7-day on, 7-day off rotation with 12-hour shifts, with camp accommodation and travel allowance provided. Progress to Crushing Plant Operator upon qualification.
Required Qualifications
- Completed Secondary School Diploma or GED
- Must be comfortable working outdoors in various weather and conditions
- Must be able to work 7 day on 7 day off rotation
- Must be able to work 12 hr shifts
Desired Qualifications
- Previous work experience in a mining or industrial work environment is preferred
