Job Summary
Administer medication and implement respiratory care using the evaluate-and-treat process in critical care areas. Perform patient assessments, verify orders, and administer aerosolized medication, bronchial hygiene, oxygen, and medical gas therapy. Conduct arterial blood gas sampling, assist in invasive and non-invasive procedures, and provide patient and family education. Collaborate with the healthcare team to plan care while promoting performance improvement initiatives and complying with system policies. Requires 0-2 years of clinical experience with a minimum of 6 months in critical care, an Associate or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy, and NBRC-RRT certification.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Respiratory Therapy or Bachelors Respiratory Therapy
- NBRC-RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapi
- RCP - Respiratory Care Prof
- 0-2 yrs clinical experience with minimal 6-months critical care
- Ability to communicate well
- critical thinking skills
- establish and maintain working relationships with physicians and other health care professionals
- computer skills including familiarity with databases
- Good customer relation, assessment, and communication skills
