Job Summary
Provide evaluation and care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies, assessing treatment needs and implementing monitored care plans. Perform advanced respiratory modalities, administer medications, and educate patients and families on health conditions and support resources. Monitor, record, and communicate patient status while assisting with equipment calibration, maintenance, and sterilization procedures. Respond to emergency resuscitation team calls and maintain departmental inventory levels. Work full-time nights (7p-7a) every third weekend at UAB St. Vincent's East.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Licensed Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the Alabama Board of Respiratory Therapy
- Certified Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Graduate from an accredited School of Respiratory Therapy
