Job Summary
Evaluate and provide care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies, assessing treatment needs and developing care plans. Implement and monitor advanced respiratory modalities, medications, and equipment while recording and communicating patient conditions. Educate patients and families on health conditions and available community resources. Assist with equipment calibration, maintenance, inventory management, and sterilization procedures. Respond to emergency resuscitation team calls. Full-time nights shift (7p-7a) with every third weekend off and PRN availability. Licensed Respiratory Therapist with NBRC certification and BLS required.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Licensed Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the Alabama Board of Respiratory Therapy
- Certified Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Graduate from an accredited School of Respiratory Therapy
