Job Summary
Provide evaluation and care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies, assessing treatment needs to develop and implement patient care plans. Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions while performing advanced respiratory care modalities and medication administration. Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and community resources. Assist with equipment calibration, maintenance, and sterilization procedures, ensuring proper inventory levels. Respond to emergency resuscitation team calls. Full-time nights schedule (7p-7a) with every third weekend off; PRN available. Requires Alabama Board of Respiratory Therapy licensure, NBRC certification, and BLS provider status.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Licensed Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the Alabama Board of Respiratory Therapy
- Certified Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Graduate from an accredited School of Respiratory Therapy
