Job Summary
Evaluate and provide care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies, assessing treatment needs and developing care plans. Implement and monitor patient care protocols while performing advanced respiratory modalities and managing medication administration. Respond to emergency resuscitation team calls and educate patients and families regarding health conditions and community resources. Assist with equipment calibration, maintenance, and sterilization procedures, while monitoring and communicating patient status. Work full-time nights (7p-7a) with every third weekend off, requiring BLS certification within 30 days and active licensure from the Alabama Board of Respiratory Therapy.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Licensed Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the Alabama Board of Respiratory Therapy
- Certified Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Graduate from an accredited School of Respiratory Therapy
