Job Summary
Provide evaluation and care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies, assessing treatment needs and developing care plans. Implement and monitor advanced respiratory modalities, medications, and equipment while recording and communicating patient conditions. Educate patients and families on health conditions and community resources. Assist with equipment calibration, maintenance, sterilization, and inventory management. Respond to emergency resuscitation team calls. Work full-time nights (7p-7a) with every third weekend off, PRN available, at UAB St. Vincent's East.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Licensed Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the Alabama Board of Respiratory Therapy
- Certified Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Graduate from an accredited School of Respiratory Therapy
