Job Summary
Provide evaluation and care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies, assessing treatment needs and developing care plans based on diagnosis. Implement and monitor patient care while performing advanced respiratory modalities, and educate patients and families regarding health conditions and community resources. Assist with equipment calibration, maintenance, and sterilization, while participating in inventory management and responding to emergency resuscitation team calls. Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions throughout the shift.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Licensed Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the Alabama Board of Respiratory Therapy
- Certified Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Graduate from an accredited School of Respiratory Therapy
