Job Summary
Evaluate and provide care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies, assessing treatment needs and developing care plans based on diagnosis. Implement and monitor patient care plans and equipment while performing advanced respiratory modalities. Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and community resources. Respond to emergency resuscitation team calls and assist with equipment calibration, maintenance, and sterilization procedures. Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions throughout the shift.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Licensed Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the Alabama Board of Respiratory Therapy
- Certified Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Graduate from an accredited School of Respiratory Therapy
