Job Summary
Provide evaluation of and care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies, assessing treatment needs and developing care plans. Implement and monitor patient care plans while performing advanced respiratory modalities, medication administration, and equipment calibration. Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and community resources. Respond to emergency resuscitation team calls and maintain departmental inventory through proper equipment cleaning and sterilization procedures. Full-time nights shift (7p-7a) with every third weekend off; PRN available. Licensed Respiratory Therapist with NBRC certification required.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Licensed Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the Alabama Board of Respiratory Therapy
- Certified Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Graduate from an accredited School of Respiratory Therapy
