Job Summary
Evaluate and provide care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies, assessing treatment needs and developing care plans. Implement and monitor advanced respiratory modalities while evaluating medication administration and outcomes. Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and available community resources. Respond to emergency resuscitation team calls and assist with equipment calibration, maintenance, and sterilization procedures. Maintain departmental inventory levels for supplies and equipment. Full-time nights shift (7p-7a) every third weekend with PRN availability.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Licensed Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the Alabama Board of Respiratory Therapy
- Certified Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Graduate from an accredited School of Respiratory Therapy
