Job Summary
Evaluate and provide care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies, assessing treatment needs and developing care plans. Implement and monitor advanced respiratory care modalities, medications, and equipment while recording and communicating patient conditions. Educate patients and families on health conditions and community resources. Respond to emergency resuscitation team calls and assist with equipment calibration, maintenance, and sterilization procedures. Maintain departmental inventory levels for supplies and equipment. Full-time nights shift (7p-7a) with every third weekend off and PRN availability. UAB St. Vincent's serves Alabama with a legacy of compassion and personalized care.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Licensed Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the Alabama Board of Respiratory Therapy
- Certified Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Graduate from an accredited School of Respiratory Therapy
