Job Summary
Provide evaluation of and care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies, assessing appropriate treatment plans and implementing advanced respiratory care modalities. Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions while educating families on health conditions and community resources. Assist with equipment calibration, maintenance, and sterilization procedures, and participate in maintaining departmental inventory levels. Respond to emergency resuscitation team calls as needed. Full-time days and nights shifts available at UAB St. Vincent's Birmingham, a trusted provider of healthcare serving Alabama for over 125 years.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Licensed Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the Alabama Board of Respiratory Therapy
- Certified Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Graduate from an accredited School of Respiratory Therapy
- Schedule: Full Time - Days and Nights, 7 to 7 or Sunday's 6:30am to 7:00pm with Saturday as needed
- PRN available
