Job Summary
Evaluate and provide care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies, assessing treatment needs and developing individualized care plans. Implement and monitor advanced respiratory care modalities, medications, and equipment while recording and communicating patient conditions. Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and community resources. Assist with equipment calibration, maintenance, and inventory management, adhering to established cleaning and sterilization procedures. Respond to emergency resuscitation team calls. Full-time days and nights shifts available at UAB St. Vincent's Birmingham.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Licensed Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the Alabama Board of Respiratory Therapy
- Certified Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Graduate from an accredited School of Respiratory Therapy
- Schedule : Full Time - Days and Nights, 7 to 7 or Sunday's 6:30am to 7:00pm with Saturday as needed. PRN available
