Job Summary
Colorectal Surgeon needed in Erie, PA to join an established UPMC Hamot Center for Digestive Health practice. The role involves managing benign and malignant colorectal conditions, performing traditional surgery, laparoscopic procedures, and endoscopy. The practice currently includes two physicians, two PAs, and an experienced staff. Shared call schedule (no greater than 1:3) with competitive compensation, sign-on and extender bonuses, PTO, CME days and CME stipend, malpractice insurance, disability coverage, group life insurance, parental leave, tuition assistance, and relocation assistance. Immigration options include J-1 Waiver and H-1B candidacies for 2027 and beyond. Eligible candidates can obtain Pennsylvania medical licensure and DEA certification as part of the credentialing process.
Required Qualifications
- MD/DO from an accredited medical school
- Accredited General Surgery Residency Program completion
- Accredited Colorectal Surgery Fellowship Program completion
- American Board Eligible or American Board Certified in Colorectal Surgery
- Ability to obtain an unrestricted Pennsylvania Medical License and ability to obtain necessary credentials
- DEA certification
