Job Summary
Colorectal Surgeon sought to join an established UPMC Hamot Digestive Health practice in Erie, PA. The role involves treating benign and malignant conditions of the small bowel, colon, and rectum with traditional surgery, laparoscopic procedures, and endoscopy. The team currently includes two physicians, two physician assistants, and a supportive staff. Qualifications include MD/DO, completed colorectal surgery fellowship, board eligibility/certification in colorectal surgery, PA medical license eligibility, and DEA certification. Enhanced compensation includes productivity incentives, signing/extender bonuses, PTO, CME, malpractice insurance, comprehensive benefits, and relocation assistance. The role offers a balanced work-life schedule with shared call (not exceeding 1:3) and PSLF-eligible non-profit employment within a large health system in Erie, PA.
Required Qualifications
- MD/DO from an accredited medical school
- Accredited General Surgery Residency Program completion
- Accredited Colorectal Surgery Fellowship Program completion
- American Board Eligible or American Board Certified in Colorectal Surgery
- Ability to obtain an unrestricted Pennsylvania Medical License
- DEA certification
