Job Summary
Claim available shifts through our app-based scheduling system when notified, working one hour before school and one hour at dismissal around the elementary school calendar. Ensure students safely cross the street, serving as a friendly face at the crosswalk when regular guards are unavailable. Maintain a valid Utah State Driver License with 12 months of driving experience and an acceptable driving record. This seasonal, safety-sensitive position requires pre-employment and random drug/alcohol testing, background checks, and a minimum age of 18.
Required Qualifications
- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age
- Positions deemed safety-sensitive and/or that require a CDL are subject to pre-employment drug testing and random drug/alcohol testing during employment
- Background checks, including criminal history checks, are required for applicants age 18 and older
- To be employed in a position that requires driving, you must possess and maintain a valid Utah State Driver License (or obtain prior to hire)
- 12 months experience driving (not including time for learner's permit)
- have a driving record acceptable for Tooele City's insurance and risk management standards
- Tooele City participates in the E-Verify program to confirm the employment eligibility of all newly hired employees after an offer of employment has been accepted
