Job Summary
Escort students safely across city streets on their way to and from school; monitor student behavior and the environment to maintain a safe path of travel; direct on-coming traffic to safely escort children and guardians; operate a two-way radio; may assist with playground, classroom, and cafeteria monitoring; may perform clerical or receptionist duties; requires completion of safety training and fingerprint clearance; able to stand/walk for extended periods in extreme weather and lift up to 30 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of Video Safety Training Class for Crossing Guards or equivalent
- Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Must be able to pass a background clearance check
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods in extreme weather conditions
- May be required to lift and/or carry heavy, bulky supplies weighing up to 30 pounds
