Job Summary
Place traffic signs where required and utilize proper procedure to walk students through the crosswalk. Ensure students' safety by ensuring they walk within crosswalk lines and report violators of the 15 MPH zone for both pedestrians and vehicles. Perform related duties as requested, including assisting students safely through intersections and monitoring vehicle traffic. Work cooperatively with parents, students, staff, and the general public while adhering to all district policies and regulations. Maintain adequate vision and hearing to exercise job responsibilities safely.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work cooperatively with parents, students, staff, and the general public
- Knowledge of and adheres to all policies, regulations, and rules
- Vision and hearing are adequate to exercise job responsibilities in a safe manner
- Ability to stoop, kneeling, crouching, standing, walking, and sitting
- Finger or manual dexterity
- Repetitive finger motion capability
- Speaking ability
- Hearing ability (with correction)
- Seeing ability (with correction)
- Focusing ability
- Ability to lift or exert up to 40 pounds of force occasionally
- Ability to lift or exert up to 10 pounds of force frequently
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- First aid training
