Job Summary
Perform daily golf course maintenance including mowing, trimming, edging, bunker maintenance, course setup, debris removal, and irrigation repairs. Operate and maintain equipment safely while monitoring turf conditions for pests, disease, or drainage issues. Execute cross-trained duties as a Greensperson, Lead, Assistant Horticulturist, and Spray Technician, managing putting green care, crew leadership, landscape planting, and chemical application. Work Friday through Monday with a Florida Pesticide License preferred. Join Suntree Country Club's Golf Course Maintenance team to uphold exceptional playing conditions.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver's License
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at time
- Prolonged periods of standing
- Working knowledge of turfgrass management, landscaping, irrigation, drainage systems, and integrated pest management practices
- Knowledge of fertilizers, chemicals, and soil conditioners
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in golf course maintenance or groundskeeping
- Knowledge of golf operations and ability to play the game
- Preferred Florida Pesticide License to be obtained within 90 – 120 days of hire
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
