Job Summary
Inspect vacuum envelope mechanical sub-assemblies and final assemblies for quality and accuracy while interpreting schematics and using measuring tools such as optical comparators, calipers, and microscopes. Assemble components using small hand tools and precision equipment to maintain production flow and meet weekly schedule requirements. Follow detailed instructions to ensure compliance with quality standards, support continuous improvement, and maintain a clean, organized work area. Experience with Tig welding, brazing, and clean room environments is advantageous. This role supports Teledyne MEC's mission to design and manufacture advanced RF and microwave components for aerospace, defense, and communications applications.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working with small parts, hand tools, and microscopes
- Ability to read blueprints and follow written/verbal instructions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to lift 5–20 lbs and work in a team environment
- U.S. Person status (citizen, permanent resident, asylee, or refugee)
Desired Qualifications
- Tig welding, brazing, and clean room experience
- Familiarity with FOD control and geometric dimensioning/tolerancing
