Cross Country Co-Head Coach

Job Summary
Establish the fundamental philosophy, skills, and techniques for the interscholastic cross country program while managing and supervising practice sessions to promote athletic growth, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Account for team culture and conduct of all participants, adhering to injury procedures and taking necessary precautions to protect student athletes and facilities. Develop a program extending beyond the high school by connecting with middle school and town youth initiatives, ensuring the coach remains supportive of broader school activities. This seasonal, part-time role includes a mid-way and end-of-season stipend, with no benefits provided. Candidates must hold prior high school coaching experience, CPR/First Aid certification, and NFHS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Prior high school varsity or junior varsity coaching experience
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- NFHS Certification
- Knowledge of coaching techniques and procedures
- Knowledge of NHIAA rules
- Demonstrated ability to instruct, lead and supervise student athletes
- Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
