Job Summary
The High School Assistant Cross Country Coach position aims to support student athletes' development and success through effective coaching and adherence to WIAA standards. Responsibilities include serving as a positive role model, ensuring compliance with athletic regulations, facilitating communication with parents and the community, and promoting equitable participation and personal growth amongst athletes. Applicants should demonstrate coaching experience, leadership skills, and the capacity for collaboration with staff and parents. Candidates are required to complete Safeschool training, hold valid First Aid and CPR certification, and possess a valid Washington driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability, dedication and experience as an outstanding coach and teacher preferred
- Teaching experience preferred, not required
- Demonstrated ability to serve as a positive role model
- Proven success in leadership and working in groups
- Demonstrated capacity for collaboration, cooperation and coordination with colleagues and parents
- Experience and knowledge in specified sport
- Valid First Aid and CPR card
- Completion of Safeschool on-line training modules required
- Valid Washington Driver's License
- Proof of Insurance; May be required to drive students
