Job Summary
Crop Insurance Business Development Representative responsible for building and strengthening relationships with independent crop insurance agents across an assigned Minnesota-based territory, driving growth by retaining and expanding profitable business, interpreting Federal Crop Insurance Program regulations, delivering trainings on processes and tools (web-based, mobile, mapping), and collaborating with internal partners to support retention and growth. The role includes delivering training programs, addressing agent questions with timely resolutions, tracking compliance documentation, and contributing to strategic marketing and forecast efforts while traveling up to 80% and working remotely from Minnesota.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
- Ability to travel up to 80%
Desired Qualifications
- 2 years of agriculture experience
- 4 years of agriculture and crop insurance experience (preferred)
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
- Ability to travel up to 80%
- Bachelor’s degree in agriculture or business-related field (preferred)
- Strong communication and coaching/teaching skills
- Knowledge of farm economics, grain marketing and risk management tools
