Job Summary
Crop Consultant role focusing on developing new prospects and interacting with growers to grow agricultural inputs sales, manage sales to meet profit margins, ensure on-time delivery and product quality, and advise on strategies to increase sales of proprietary products. Responsibilities include consulting with growers on agricultural issues, resolving issues related to adverse product results, performing initial credit reviews to assess risk, communicating with Credit Manager to set credit limits, collecting outstanding accounts receivable, and executing assigned duties. Required skills include establishing strong customer relationships, achieving sales goals, understanding credit processes, and proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel. Education path includes a high school diploma or equivalent, with university degree preferred and 5+ years of related experience in lieu of degree; 2+ years’ experience in the agriculture industry and related credit/sales experience are valued.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2+ years’ experience in agriculture industry
- 2+ years’ experience using standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the agriculture industry
- University degree preferred, in lieu of degree, 5+ years agriculture experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel
