Job Summary
Crop Business Developer responsible for building and managing a territory across NC, SC, and VA from a remote base with up to 70% travel. Develops an agency plant/territory and marketing plans, prospecting and managing agency relationships to achieve production and profitability objectives. Leads development and execution of agency action plans, analyzes agents’ production, and implements corrective measures as needed. Serves as liaison between the company and producers, markets and trains on products and services, interprets and educates agencies on features, market positioning, and technology needs. Gathers competitive information, informs pricing decisions within authority, monitors book performance, and maintains customer service levels. Builds and maintains relationships with internal/external clients, binds risks within authority, and may engage in large/complex accounts during critical periods. Requires frequent travel and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field; prior crop insurance, sales, or business development experience preferred.
