Job Summary
Assist teachers with instructional, clerical, and student management activities to support limited or non-English speaking students. Apply knowledge of child guidance principles and basic instructional methods in a school year schedule with shifts typically running from 7:45am to 3:30pm. The role requires a high school diploma, strong communication skills, and familiarity with office and computer systems. Candidates may be determined highly-qualified with a two-year degree, CDA credentials, or relevant school experience. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong office skills
- Strong computer skills
- Strong oral communication skills
- Strong written communication skills
- Knowledge of child guidance principles and practices
- Knowledge of basic instructional methods and techniques
- Two years of college experience from an accredited college
- A two-year college degree from an accredited college
- Passed the Para-Pro Assessment
- One year or 1,000 hours of previous employment in a school or working with children
- Passed annual school-level evaluations
- Completed 48 credit hours of college level classes from an accredited college
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credentials
