Job Summary
VP-level Valuation Control role focusing on strengthening valuation governance and developing robust valuation approaches for complex, non-observable instruments within the Global Financing and Credit Trading (GFCT) business. Involves Independent Price Verification, Prudent Valuation processes, valuation of distressed, structured, and bespoke transactions, private equity and private credit, and interaction with Front Office, Market Risk, Finance, and senior stakeholders to challenge and validate valuations. Requires strong analytical/quantitative skills, proficiency in Excel/Bloomberg with Python/VBA, and professional qualifications (CFA/FRM/ACA-ACCA or MSc Finance). The role offers hybrid working arrangements and a broad exposure to bonds, loans, derivatives, and securitized products across APAC.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in valuation control, product control, or pricing/valuation roles within an investment bank, risk function, or buy-side firm, with a focus on private credit, private equity, or illiquid products
- Strong knowledge of private market including private equity, private credit and illiquid bespoke transactions
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in Excel and Bloomberg with programming skills (Python/VBA)
- Relevant professional qualifications (CFA, FRM, ACA/ACCA, MSc Finance or equivalent)
