Job Summary
Provide anesthesia services in nine operating rooms under on-site MD supervision during day shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with home-based OR call from 3:00 PM to 7:00 AM requiring a 20-minute response time. Manage case mix including cardiac, orthopedic, general surgery, vascular, and trauma procedures while maintaining proficiency in spinals, epidurals, and blocks. Board certification is required for temporary privileges, with credentialing typically taking 60 to 90 days. This locum tenens assignment covers sporadic dates across September through December, primarily for vacation coverage, at a multi-specialty medical center in Terre Haute, Indiana.
