Job Summary
Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) implements accurate, safe, patient-centric anesthetic care and continuously engages in projects to maintain and advance professional competency. Monitors physiologic implications and anesthetic considerations of surgical procedures, watches vital signs, capnography, and pulse oximetry per ASA guidelines, ensures appropriate documentation per hospital/regulatory requirements, and protects information from unauthorized disclosure. The role emphasizes professionalism, ethics, and compassionate patient care with opportunities for call duties and in-house schedule flexibility. Relocation assistance and sign-on available.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
- Completion of Certified Nurse Anesthetist Training Program
- Graduate of a Nurse Anesthesia Educational Program accredited by the AANA Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Programs
- APRNs, PAs, CRNAs and CNMs required to be appointed to the Affiliated Medical Staff of a YNHHS Hospital and credentialed through the Medical Staff process
- CRNAs must be able to stand for long periods and lift 25 pounds; able to move self/patients between locations
- CRNA licensure (State of CT RN and APRN License)
- CRNA ACLS DEA Registration and CT Controlled Substance Registration
