Job Summary
Provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests. Participate in the clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students while performing duties according to department policy and procedures. Maintain Alabama Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist licensure, BLS, and ACLS certifications. This full-time role offers flexible scheduling options and a sign-on bonus up to $45,000 for new hires. Join a team of over 70 CRNAs and 15 anesthesiologists supporting more than 50,000 annual procedures across 53 operating rooms at UAB St. Vincent's Birmingham.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia program
- Alabama Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist license
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Self-directed / self-motivated
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to perform a variety of duties often changing from one task to another of a different nature without loss of efficiency or composure
- Ability to accept responsibility for the direction, control and planning of one's own work
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to recognize the rights and responsibilities of patient confidentiality
