Job Summary
Provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures, diagnostic tests, cardio-thoracic surgeries, and cardiac catheterizations. Participate in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students. Work full-time AM shifts at UAB Medicine, Alabama's largest academic medical center. This role supports a team managing over 100,000 cases annually across 150 locations in Birmingham and central Alabama, serving more than 1.2 million patients yearly. Pay range: $220.00 / hour.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program
- Currently certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) with Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) Specialty by the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Currently certified with Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Currently certified with Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Currently certified with Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association (AHA)
