Job Summary
Provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures, diagnostic tests, cardio-thoracic surgeries, and cardiac catheterizations. Participate in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students. Maintain ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required for practice. Full-time AM shifts available at UAB Medicine, serving over 1.2 million patients annually across Alabama's largest health system.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program
- Currently certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) with Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) Specialty by the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Currently certified with Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Currently certified with Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Currently certified with Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association (AHA)
