Job Summary
Provide anesthesia support under the medical direction of the Legacy of Hope Recovery Surgeon, adhering to organizational policies and procedures. Perform a variety of duties often changing from one task to another while maintaining efficiency and composure in an ever-changing, fast-paced healthcare environment. Accept responsibility for the direction, control, and planning of your own work, demonstrating the ability to work independently and cope effectively when confronted with emergency, critical, or unusual situations. Recognize patient confidentiality rights and convey empathy and compassion to those experiencing pain, physical, or emotional distress. Communicate effectively with diverse backgrounds and foster teamwork to satisfy customer needs. Requires an accredited Nurse Anesthesia program graduate, Alabama CRNA license, and current BLS/ACLS certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia program
- Alabama Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist license
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Self-directed / self-motivated
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to perform a variety of duties often changing from one task to another of a different nature without loss of efficiency or composure
- Ability to accept responsibility for the direction, control and planning of one's own work
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to recognize the rights and responsibilities of patient confidentiality
- Ability to convey empathy and compassion to those experiencing pain, physical or emotional distress and/or grief
- Ability to relate to others in a manner which creates a sense of teamwork and cooperation
- Ability to communicate effectively with people from every socioeconomic, cultural and educational background
- Ability to exhibit flexibility and cope effectively in an ever-changing, fast-paced healthcare environment
- Ability to perform effectively when confronted with emergency, critical, unusual or dangerous situations
- Ability to demonstrate the quality work ethic of doing the right thing the right way
- Ability to maintain a customer focus and strive to satisfy the customer's perceived needs
