Job Summary
Coordinate anesthesia services for diverse surgical procedures, diagnostic tests, and cardio-thoracic surgeries under anesthesiologist direction. Lead clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students and serve as a clinical resource. Maintain current certification as an Advanced Practice Nurse and Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist by the Alabama Board of Nursing, along with ACLS, BLS, and PALS credentials. This role requires two years of related experience and is open to eligible candidates within the UAB Medicine network, which serves over 1.2 million patients annually across Alabama and internationally.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program
- Two (2) years of related experience
- Currently certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) with Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) Specialty by the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Currently certified with Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Currently certified with Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Currently certified with Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association (AHA)
