Job Summary
Coordinate anesthesia services for diverse surgical procedures, diagnostic tests, and cardio-thoracic surgeries under anesthesiologist direction. Participate in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students and serve as a clinical resource. Maintain current certification as an Advanced Practice Nurse with Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist Specialty by the Alabama Board of Nursing, plus ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association. Work full-time in a lead capacity to support cardiothoracic surgical procedures and cardiac catheterizations.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program
- Two (2) years of related experience
- Currently certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) with Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) Specialty by the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Currently certified with Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Currently certified with Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Currently certified with Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association (AHA)
