Job Summary
Clinical responsibilities of the CRNA are delineated by his or her clinical privileges. Assists with data collection and evaluation of patient medical and surgical history for planned procedures. Maintains a safe environment, responds to emergencies, and administers medications and fluids per safe practice standards. Provides ongoing anesthesia depth assessment, airway management, fluid status monitoring, and physiologic response evaluation to ensure patient safety. Assists with completing required documentation (surgical safety checklist, pre-operative assessment, intra-operative anesthetic record, transfer-of-care note) and logs incident reporting in the computerized Safety Portal. Performs other duties as assigned. Education: Graduate of a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the COA or its predecessor.
