CRNA – Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist

CRNA provides anesthesia care with full-scope practice. Essential duties include collecting and evaluating patient data, administering medications and fluids, airway management, ongoing physiologic assessment, and completion of perioperative documentation (surgical safety checklist, pre-operative assessment, intra-operative anesthetic record, and transfer-of-care notes). Maintains safety and responds to emergencies; supports incident reporting. Education required: graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia program.
