Job Summary
Provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures, diagnostic tests, cardio-thoracic surgeries, and cardiac catheterizations. Participate in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students. Requires graduation from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program, Alabama Board of Nursing certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, and current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications. Pay range is $150.00 per hour for flexi/PRN shifts. UAB Medicine serves over 1.2 million patients annually across Alabama and the nation.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program
- Currently certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) with Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) Specialty by the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Currently certified with Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Currently certified with Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Currently certified with Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association (AHA)
