Job Summary
Administer general and regional anesthesia to surgical and non-surgical patients under an Anesthesiologist's direction. Perform acute cardio-pulmonary resuscitation, interpret physiological status, and establish multi-parameter monitoring including ECG and arterial blood gas determinations. Manage pre- and post-anesthetic care, ventilator support, and respiratory parameters as assigned. Assist in gathering routine pre-op data and contribute to research projects led by the Anesthesiologist. Participate in the Anesthesia Care Team model across specialties including Orthopedic, Bariatric, ENT, and Labor and Delivery. Full-time rotating schedule with nights, weekends, and call team participation required.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) or Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) Master's Degree program
- Licensed or eligible to practice in the State of Georgia
- Certified by National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) or National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants (NCCAA)
- Must maintain biannual certification through the submission of Continuing Medical Education credits (CMEs)
- BLS from American Heart Association (AHA) required
- Must be able to lift 36-75 lbs
- Must be able to lift 20-35 lbs
- Must be able to lift 10-20 lbs
- Must be able to lift 75 lbs max
- Must be able to carry objects up to 35 lbs
- Must be able to stand and walk
- Must be able to sit
- Must be able to perform close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing)
- Must be able to work in an environment with blood-borne pathogen exposure
- Must be able to work in an environment with bio-hazardous waste
- Must be able to work in an environment with chemicals/gases/fumes/vapors
- Must be able to work in an environment with communicable diseases
- Must be able to work in an environment with electrical shock
- Must be able to work in an environment with floor surfaces
- Must be able to work in an environment with hot/cold temperatures
- Must be able to work in an environment with indoor/outdoor conditions
- Must be able to work in an environment with latex
- Must be able to work in an environment with lighting
- Must be able to work in an environment with patient care/handling injuries
- Must be able to work in an environment with radiation
- Must be able to work in an environment with shift work
- Must be able to travel
- Must be able to use personal protective equipment, including respirators
Desired Qualifications
- General or OB Anesthesia care experience highly preferred
