Job Summary
Administer anesthesia or sedation to patients undergoing surgical and non-surgical procedures. Develop and conduct pre-anesthetic plans, write orders before, after, and during procedures, and collaborate with providers. Monitor patients using hemodynamic techniques to adjust the anesthesia plan and evaluate diagnostic tests as needed. Maintain current unencumbered CRNA licensure and NBCRNA certification. Work a 24-hour beeper call with a 20-minute response window and a 1:4 call ratio. This role is part of a new anesthesia team at Marshfield Medical Center - Weston in Wausau/Weston, Wisconsin, offering 1,720 hours annually with additional compensation for overtime.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree from an approved and accredited educational program in specific area of advanced practice
- Current unencumbered licensure to practice as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) from the State Board of Nursing in the state(s) of practice and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges as required by position
- CRNA certification maintained through the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA)
- Ability to obtain and subsequently maintain required department specific competencies and certifications
Desired Qualifications
- Masters degree, Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), or Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
