Job Summary
CRNA for an Ambulatory Surgery Center at UPMC Shadyside. The role administers anesthesia to patients in collaboration with supervising/medically directing physicians across pre-anesthetic evaluation, induction, maintenance, emergence, post-anesthesia care, and peri-anesthesia clinical support. Responsibilities include patient documentation for informed consent, participation in Quality Improvement, management of controlled substances per policy and law, and assisting with teaching SRNAs/graduates. Requires graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia program; Master’s degree preferred. Licensure as PA RN with CRNA certification (or eligible), BLS/ACLS/PALS per institution, and required clearances. Required Qualifications
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
- Board Certified, Recertified or eligible by the Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists
- CRNA certification
- Master's degree preferred
- CPR required (AHA standards) with didactic and skills demonstration within 30 days of hire
- ACLS/PALS certifications as required by institution upon hire
- Act 33, 34, and 73 clearances required
- COVID vaccination requirements compliant with employer policy
