Job Summary
Conduct medication administration, coordinate with healthcare providers, and ensure accuracy of physician orders while providing hands-on care to meet residents' identified needs. Observe, document, and report all aspects of residents' activities of daily living, health status, and compliance with physician orders to ensure appropriate care levels. Implement interdisciplinary service plans, report changes in resident condition, and document physical ability to perform self-care under the direction of the Residential Care Coordinator and guidance from the RN. Maintain highest levels of residents' physical, psychological, social, and spiritual well-being in accordance with service plans and current standards of care.
Required Qualifications
- CNA or PSS certification in good standing
- One or more years experience in geriatrics
- Familiarity with memory loss care
- BLS within 120 days of hire date
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbal and in writing
- Ability for high performance under stressful situations
- Must be able to prioritize, multi-task and follow through
- Able to stand/work for most of an 8-12 hour shift
- Must be able to bend/lift 25 - 55 lbs
