Job Summary
Manage accounting, financial support, and reporting for TRICARE's centrally funded private sector health care programs. Execute financial statement audit readiness and remediation tasks while analyzing findings to develop corrective action plans. Perform internal control testing, document financial transactions, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure audit requirements are met. Prepare audit documentation, evidence packages, and component financial statements; liaise with external auditors to coordinate responses. Formulate budget inputs and maintain audit readiness repositories. Requires a bachelor's degree or five years of federal financial management experience, five years of TRICARE program knowledge, and an active DoD Secret clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field (or at least 5 years of equivalent federal financial management or auditing experience in lieu of a degree)
- Minimum of 5 years of federal audit, audit readiness, or financial compliance experience
- Minimum of 5 years experience with TRICARE's centrally funded private sector health care programs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interpret and communicate audit issues clearly
- Active DoD Secret security clearance
Desired Qualifications
- DoD Financial Management Certification (Level 1, 2, or 3)
- Experience with FIAR methodology, including internal controls, testing, and remediation
- Familiarity with key audit focus areas such as Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Real Property, and Fund Balance with Treasury (FBwT)
- Experience with collections, unmatched transactions, and intergovernmental reconciliations
- Exposure to data analytics to support audit resolution and financial trend analysis
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, Power BI, or similar tools to extract and analyze financial data
