Job Summary
Critical Power Sales Associate drives regional sales for mission-critical data center power solutions. The role involves developing regional vertical market strategies, calling on end users (Enterprise, Colo, Hyperscale), managing a sales territory, pursuing new accounts, nurturing channel partners and engineers, preparing proposals and presentations, and maintaining a robust sales pipeline. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical power distribution and UPS/Battery/PDU/Busway equipment, an established network in the data center and critical facilities markets, and proven consultative sales experience. Travel up to 50% is required. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience) and a demonstrated ability to build long-term customer relationships are essential. The role also emphasizes cross-functional collaboration with engineers, architects, subcontractors, and GC’s, as well as participation in industry groups and events.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, other technically related degree in the industry, or equivalent work-related experience
- Must have at least five to ten years sales experience in data center / critical facilities / critical power industry
- Extensive network of relevant contacts in the Data Center Industry (e.g., Directors of Facilities, Facilities Managers, Property Managers)
- Experience selling to end users in Enterprise, Colo, and Hyperscale markets
- Proven ability to develop and execute a repeatable sales strategy
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Membership/attendance in local professional chapters or conferences (7x24 Exchange, Uptime Institute, DCD, Bisnow, AFCOM, iMasons)
- Ability to travel up to 50%
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
- Military/veteran experience in Electrical/Mechanical fields is a plus
