Job Summary
Install and commission single-phase and three-phase UPS systems, perform preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot alarms, battery failures, and power quality issues. Replace field-replaceable components, execute startup and bypass procedures, and conduct battery impedance and discharge testing. Maintain PDUs, busway systems, and rack infrastructure while performing structured cabling work and equipment decommissioning. Provide on-site customer service, communicate technical findings, and prepare detailed service reports. Participate in scheduled on-call rotations for emergency responses across Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience servicing enterprise UPS systems
- Experience working in mission-critical environments such as: Data Centers, Colocation Facilities, Hospitals, Financial Institutions, Manufacturing Facilities
- Strong knowledge of: Three-phase electrical systems, Critical power distribution, UPS architecture, Battery technologies (VRLA, Lithium-Ion), ATS and generator interfaces
- Experience with one or more major UPS manufacturers: Eaton, Schneider Electric / APC, Vertiv, ABB, Legrand, Panduit
- Ability to read: Electrical schematics, One-line diagrams, Wiring diagrams
- Familiarity with commissioning procedures and electrical testing equipment
- Basic networking and computer skills
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Valid driver's license with the ability to travel extensively throughout the BENELUX region
- Up to 80% travel throughout Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg
- Some evening, weekend, and emergency call-out work may be required
Desired Qualifications
- Manufacturer certifications from Eaton, Schneider Electric, Vertiv, ABB, Legrand, Panduit
- Electrical engineering or technical diploma
- Experience supporting hyperscale or enterprise data centers
- Working knowledge of structured cabling and fiber optic infrastructure
- Additional language skills in Dutch, French, or German are highly desirable
