Critical Operations Technician I (Nights)

Job Summary
The Critical Operations Technician I will install, repair, and maintain IT, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing/piping equipment across building systems in a 24/7 data center. Responsibilities include monitoring operations, performing tests and rounds, analyzing data for proper equipment operation, assisting customers on the Data Center floor (in person and via telephone), performing customer equipment installs, managing tickets, escalating alerts to systems engineers, and completing tasks related to computer hardware, software, or operating systems. This role requires on-site work with no remote or hybrid options. Additional duties include preventive maintenance, remote hands and eyes support for customers, configuring hardware/software, installing infrastructure components (cabinetry, racks, fiber trays, cables) as documented, and following Change Management processes with accurate documentation in the ticketing system. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and compliance with company policies and data center procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Two or more years of technical training, military training, or workplace equivalency
- Background in IT, electrical, and/or mechanical
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite
- BOD OEM (Panduit, Corning), A+, Network+, BICSI Installer I certifications (preferred)
