Job Summary
Critical Facilities Technician provides technical and facility support in a 24x7 data center environment, focusing on electrical, HVAC, and building management systems. Responsibilities include monitoring critical power, cooling/environmental, security and support systems; performing limited maintenance of data center heating and cooling; updating and resolving service tickets; taking daily readings of mechanical and electrical equipment; identifying and addressing issues; and supporting service delivery tasks. Opportunities for overtime exist; role requires the ability to obtain security clearance and U.S. Citizenship.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years experience in a critical operations environment and/or data center experience preferred, but not required
- Knowledge of Chiller Plant systems-Trane,York,Multi Stack, Web Control BMS, STS switches, and UPS
- Google sheets and google classroom
- Multi tasking - we use several different systems to manage ticket queues and work tasks can change throughout the day
- Attention to detail - ability to understand and follow a documented process and Iron Mountain’s safety code
- Organization & prioritization - following processes and managing your time with minimal supervision to get work done efficiently and on time
- Dedication & desire to learn - we would like you to grow your career within Iron Mountain
