Job Summary
Conduct daily patrols on foot or in a vehicle to protect people and property, while monitoring closed circuit television systems and alarms. Enforce site regulations and directives for personnel, visitors, and premises, acting as a visible deterrent to crime and rule infractions. Report safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances verbally and in writing, maintaining proficiency with assigned protective equipment, restraint devices, and weapons. Answer phones, greet guests and employees professionally, and assist with site-specific operations. This role may involve covering multiple clients, special projects, call offs, and open shifts across various locations, including adverse outdoor conditions.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 21 years of age
- Valid Guard License
- Current active status of all required License
- Successful completion of a background investigation
- Successful completion of a post-offer/pre-employment drug/alcohol test
- Pass a Driver's Record check
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative
- Ability to successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments
- Ability to effectively manage deadlines
- Ability to handle both common and crisis situations

- One or more of the following: 3 years civilian law enforcement experience, 3 years private or corporate security experience, 3 years military experience with a positive discharge
- Criminal Justice Degree or law enforcement related degree, Associates or higher
- Graduate of a law enforcement training academy
- Ability to use both hands
- Ability to stand, sit, stoop, talk and hear
- Ability to read computer screens, correspondence and reports in English
- Ability to walk, stand, reach with both hands and arms
- Ability to drive a vehicle
- Ability to maneuver up to 40 pounds
- Ability to climb stairs
- Correctable vision to normal level
- Hand/eye coordination
- Ability to focus and multi-task in a busy environment
- Ability to successfully handle stressful situations in a calm and professional manner
